Basic Info
Name:Lucius Malfoy
Birthdate:09-19
Location:Wiltshire, United Kingdom
Bio
This is a character journal for the LJ RPG Fiery Inception. The world of Harry Potter and the character of Lucius Malfoy belong to JK Rowling.

The Basics

Character Name: Lucius Malfoy
PB: Jason Isaacs

Age: 46
Birthday: September 19, 1954
Wand: Oak (known as the King of the Forest and considered sacred by just about every culture) 10 inches, inflexible, dragon's heartstring
House in School: Slytherin
Bloodline: Pureblood

Political View: "The Ministry of Magic is currently run by a bevy of weak-willed mudbloods and blood traitors who can not see how the Muggle world is undermining the greatness of wizards. The wizarding world needs a strong, firm hand if it's to realize its true potential and take its rightful place in the world."

As a pure-blood supremacist Lucius is disgusted by the way the current Ministry is run. He firmly believes that there should be laws that would reduce Muggles to creatures less than human, for that is what they are in his own mind.
Appearance

Height: 6’1”
Weight: 200 lbs.
Eyes: Cold grey
Hair: Pale blond
Build: Completely perfect, of course. Really, did you expect less from him?
Dress Style: Adjectives that come to mind are: Elegant, impeccable, expensive. Lucius would never think to be seen in anything but the finest his money can offer. Everything he owns is tailored to his exact measurements and made of only the finest fabrics. He tends to stick with Slytherin's colors which he feels highlight his aristocratic features.

Defining Marks: There is little that is not discerning about Lucius Malfoy. From his pale skin and pale hair to his impeccable clothing, Lucius Malfoy stands out and really, he wouldn't have it any other way. He believes himself to be the epitome of a wizard and would not hide it. However, to get his way or get what he wants, Lucius Malfoy will do just about anything. He denied the Dark Lord... what is a little thing like deceiving the Mudbloods if it will get him closer to his goals?
Personality

Strengths: Lucius possesses an almost inhuman ability for manipulation, due in no small part to his immense charisma and wealth. The fact that the wizarding population still holds him in such high esteem even after all of the atrocities he's done is proof of it. He has a strong sense of self and an almost unhealthy ambition. It allows him to pursue his goals with a single-minded determination. He is ruthless and driven, willing (and rather eager) to crush anyone who gets in his way.

Weaknesses: The man is, in a word, selfish. The only important thing in his life is himself, which includes his social and political standing as well as his economic status. Because of this he views any slight against himself or his family as a personal attack and will retaliate; this includes against members of his own family. He lacks true courage and will not stand up to anyone who is more powerful than he.

Quirks: Though he hates Muggles and considers them no better than cattle, he will not hesitate to use them for his own gain. He currently owns stock in Wal-mart, Microsoft, and Halliburton (http://www.forbes.com/2005/12/01/potter-malfoy-wealth_cx_de_05fict15_1201malfoyprofile.html ) and is also in talks with a Muggle author for The Lucius Malfoy Story.

General outlook on life: His views on pure-blood supremacy would turn any normal wizard's blood cold.
Psychology

Extrovert/Introvert: Extrovert. Lucius is not one to be sequestered by himself when he could be out making more contacts and finding people to control. I mean..."befriend."

Boggart Would Be: Himself; old, enfeebled, shabby and unkempt. There is nothing on this earth that Lucius cares more about than himself. Therefore, his appearance and his social and economic status are the most important thing to him. Without them, he is worthless and more so... powerless.

Patronus Would Be: He cannot produce a patronus. He never found it necessary to waste his time on a spell that he could would never likely need. After all, if he needed help against a Dementor, he would send a lackey to get rid of it.
Sexuality

To even contemplate that Lucius Malfoy is anything but heterosexual... my little Muggle life would be even more worthless than it already is to him.
Lifestyle

Occupation: As the head of the Malfoy line, he has no need for an occupation. However, he has very strong political aspirations and is starting a chain of events to help him become the next Minister of Magic.
Residence: Malfoy Manor, Wiltshire, in south-west England.
Financial Status: *raises an eyebrow* Must I really answer that?
Family

Parents: Abraxas Malfoy (deceased) and Alyssia Malfoy nee Cabrera
Siblings: Lucius is an only child and, as the only Malfoy heir, was quite ridiculously spoiled because of it. Much like Draco.
Wife: Narcissa Malfoy nee Black Son: Draco Malfoy

Before the return of Voldemort (the first time) the Malfoy family was a perfect unit, at least in Lucius' eyes. He had a devoted, beautiful wife and a loving, obedient son who was poised to follow in his father's exact footsteps. However, when Harry Potter came into the scene, their perfect little family slowly started to fall apart.

After the incident with the Chamber of Secrets and Lucius' subsequent dismissal from the Governing Board of Hogwarts, Malfoy's obedience and hero worship started to show cracks. It was dealt a death blow when Lucius was arrested for the first time after his failure to obtain the prophecy at the Department of Mysteries. The humiliation of failure and the fear of Voldemort's retaliation kept Lucius in Azkaban when he could have used his money and influence to buy his way out.

When Voldemort came to retrieve him and the other Death Eaters, he accepted whatever punishment the Dark Lord saw fit; including the physical and mental torture of his only son. Outwardly, he never showed any emotion one way or another. Inside he was surprisingly torn; on the one hand he was immensely grateful that it wasn't him; using his son as a whipping boy seemed an ideal solution to escape such brutal treatment. On the other hand, he seethed with an impotent rage that anyone would think to damage what was his.

After the war's end and his return to Azkaban, Lucius spared little thought for either his son or his wife. He was far too caught up in his own short and long term goals. Respectively, getting released from Azkaban and becoming the next Minister of Magic.

Once the former was accomplished, he posted a few times in those ridiculous journals; things to throw off the scent of any Ministry buffoon who might be monitoring him, jibes at Snape, and a few private posts to Narcissa. He even contacted Draco - all for image of course. The time is not quite right for reestablishing a proper familial bond yet.
History from student days at Hogwarts to the present time

Lucius' student days at Hogwarts consisted more of making future contacts and connections than making good grades, though he got his fair share of them. Classes weren't nearly as important to him as the Slug Club, something Slughorn (the head of Slytherin at the time) made a point to invite the Malfoy heir into his first year there. It was at Slughorn's feet that Lucius truly learned about the value of connections and the power of charisma. He's kept in contact with everyone who was ever a part of the Slug Club during his 7 years at Hogwarts and the connections have served him well.

Being the heir to the Malfoy name and fortune has meant that he's never worked a day in his life. Instead his holidays consisted of high-brow parties and family outings, usually including several important witches and wizards. Before the Slug Club he would whine and complain until his parents let him do whatever he wanted, but after, he began to stay close to his father and pay attention to what he did and said to draw in these powerful people. It was around his second year of Hogwarts that the seeds of political intrigue took root in his mind.

He became a prefect his fifth year and relished the power it brought with it. He'd been given a healthy taste of it with his coterie and his rising star with Slughorn, but that was mainly focused in the Slytherin house. As prefect, he was able to branch out to the other houses and he abused his power as much as he could get away with.

The only other thing of note about his time at Hogwarts was he started courting his future wife. There was never a doubt in his mind that the exquisitely beautiful Narcissa Black would one day be Mrs. Malfoy. After all, their parents had introduced them when they were children and she was by far the prettiest pure-blood girl he'd met. She was everything he could want in a wife; pure-blooded, beautiful, a perfect hostess, and utterly devoted to him. He turned on his considerable charisma and before long won her heart.

They married as soon as she was out of Hogwarts and had their son, Draco, in 1980. By that point Lucius was already a Death Eater in Voldemort's inner circle. As soon as he had heard of the Dark Lord and his goals, Lucius knew he would be a Death Eater and do everything in his power to help Voldemort achieve his ambitious plans. The nine years of Voldemort's rise and the subjugation of Muggles and Mudbloods alike were the pinnacle of Lucius' life. The rush of power was like nothing he'd ever felt before or since, and, at the very moment of victory it was all snatched away by a mother's selfless sacrifice.

Luckily, Malfoy landed on his feet and suffered no real ill effects from his time as a Death Eater. He pushed the Dark Lord out of his mind and concentrated instead on his "job"; gaining and maintaining his numerous contacts. This period of time was his most content. His family was perfect, his position secure and his star slowly rising again.

Of course, once again the Boy Who Lived would send his perfect world crashing around him time and again until his very name can send Lucius into an icy rage. For the time being, Harry Potter is once again untouchable. The wizarding world would riot if anyone harmed a hair on his tousled head and Lucius knows that disparaging the "Savior" would be shooting himself in the foot politically speaking. Still, he is hardly safe from Lucius' plots, more so than ever now that the infernal boy seems to be sinking his claws into Lucius' own son.

Their history is far from over.
